Easter Bingo – Religious

September 10, 2009 - 12:54 pm No Comments

If you’re a fan of the traditional religious Easter story, here’s a fun way to use your custom bingo cards:

Easter Trivia Bingo

Instead of simply calling out words from a call list, why not ask trivia questions about the religious Easter Story with answers on the call list? For example:

  • Question: How long was Jesus in the tomb?
  • Answer: 3 days (with “3 Days” as one of the spaces on your bingo card)

By including a trivia element, you also broaden the appeal of the game to people of many ages. Everybody likes a bit of competition! Even quiet adults tend to get a bit rowdy when it’s bingo time!

If you teach Sunday school or have kids of your own and want to remind them of the details that make the Easter Story special, a game of trivia bingo can be a good way to do it.

Here is a way to play Easter bingo for kids that is slightly more difficult than usual and can be good for older kids who enjoy being creative with words.

This is the “Easter Egg” version because it goes beyond the bright easy exterior of the game and adds some interactive education at the center. Just like an egg!

Here’s how you play:

Whenever you call out a word from your list, pick a child or two to name an associated concept or put the word in a sentence.

For example, if you called out, “Easter Bunny” you would follow up your call by asking one of the players to tell the others about something involving the Easter bunny.

As you use the custom card creator regularly to build new versions of your favorite bingo games, the inspiration is sure to come. Be creative and make sure your children or students are not the only ones having fun!
